Elska Industries In BriefThe designs of Elska Industries were created by our founder T. Joe Ryan as a direct result of a daydream he had while traveling down an interstate highway. He thought that there must be a better way for he and his wife to travel from New England to the Florida Keys. He wanted to be able to enjoy the scenery, yet do it inexpensively. His wife did not find "roughing it" appealing, so tent traveling was out of the question. She had metropolitan taste and wanted to sleep and travel more comfortably. Yet, she disliked the sluggishness of a big vehicle and sensations to handling a tow vehicle with a large travel trailer behind it. And, gas prices had jumped 37% ( this was 2004!), making pulling a large trailer an expensive venture anyway. Therefore, he decided that he needed a comfortable, and significantly lighter camper that could still accommodate two people. Mr. Ryan thought about the possibilities throughout the winter of "05". He started his original designs in the spring. Shortly thereafter, he began speaking to people about his idea for a "Picolite" camper trailer. Many expressed that they liked and wanted a small, fuel efficient camper trailer. As he was completing his preliminary design drawings, he showed then to more and more people, and received nothing but positive reactions. His next step was to learn more about the market and his competitors. He set out to research what the RV industry had to offer in both the U.S. and world markets. He quickly realized that there was a huge product void and that his designs could fill this niche. With positive feedback from potential customers, Mr. Ryan has decided to move forward and launch Elska Industries and start manufacturing his product line starting with the Lit'l Humma and the Cubbie. |
